*FACTS ABOUT LIONS*African lions are normally tawny colored. There are rumors of the mysterious white lion circulated South Africa.The legend was that the white lions would emerge from the bush only once every century to show their pure white coats. Their existence began in 1928 and continued over the next 47 years. Two white cubs were seen at Timbavati Game Reserve, Africa in 1975. Timbavati lions are the only white lions known to be in existence. The white lion is not albino it carries the recessive white gene and giveing it to thire cups. Ima tell you a little about how the lions body work in either ways.The lions are most comonly active at night.Their night vision is six times greater than that of humans. They have well developed whiskers and other long stiff hairs above their eyes. Under their underarms they have nerve connections and are used for sensing. Also have a well-developed sense of smell which they use to communicate with other lions who mark their territory. The males are about 4 feet high and 8 feet long i belive the tail is not added. Their averages are about 3 feet long. Males weigh between 330 and 550 pounds and females weigh between 260 and 400. (African Lion )
Lions have behaviors too. They are social animals that live in prides of between four and 37 cats. In the pride, females do most of the hunting.Lions spend more than 80 percent of their time conserving energy. Conserving energy is important for animals that are big and bulky and that live in areas where getting food is challenging. Lions can spend up to 20 hours a day resting or sleeping. Africann Lions live in Africa duh!!. They range from south of the Sahara Desert. African lions will usually live on average 13 years in the Zoo. there are some lions that can live to be as long as 30 years! thats a short life compare to humans. thats kinda sad buah!! buah!! buah!!. the lions are known as king of the Beasts, Their enemys are humans GASP!!! how can humans be so... mean. Lions eat up to anything i n the wild. for example: antelope, giraffes,zebras and more. Since the male lions dont hunt most of the time its all up to the female lions. (info.from)
The lions paw is about 5in long.(lions paws)lions of both sex like to rup on each other. Rubing on each other rubing is a way of greeting.(their way of greeting). When lions begin to growl, Its the begining of mateing. The female always needs to be in the mood. when that happens she lies down till the lion comes and mouths her. This is kinda weird to talk about but anyways,after some time the male gently bites the female on the neck. Female's then turns and bares her teeth at the male. This is a cycle in whitch the lion and the female will repeat its self about 20 minutes. Any couple can mate up tp 40 times a day. A female may mate more than one (1) male during her estrus.
